As Apple Engineer & Trainer, you will be responsible for performing a broad spectrum of activities in engineering, deploying, and managing Mac and iOS solutions for business customers. You will also be responsible for delivering professional services and training engagements to commercial, education, and government IT organizations throughout the United States.

This is a remote position that requires domestic travel. You may reside and telecommute from anywhere in the United States that is within 50 miles of a major airport.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Experience in engineering and managing macOS and iOS solutions.

  • Experience with Mac management suites such as Jamf Pro.

  • Experience in software packaging and software deployment for macOS.

  • Strong knowledge of MDM protocol, configuration profiles, and policy management.

  • Strong knowledge of active directory solutions for macOS, such as NoMAD or Enterprise Connect.

  • Experience with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation.

  • Knowledge of PIV smart card and two-factor authentication solutions for macOS.

  • Ability to evangelize modern IT practices for deploying and managing Apple devices.

  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively at various organizational levels.

  • Experience with public speaking and teaching adult learners.

  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups of 5 to 25 people.

  • Excellent written and oral communications.

  • 10+ years of relevant Apple experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. “Public Trust” security clearance.

Desired Certifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Jamf Certified Expert

  • Apple Certified Support Professional

  • Working knowledge of Wi-Fi networks.

  • Working knowledge of macOS command-line and scripting.

  • Experience supporting customers in secure environments, familiarity of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) operating standards and applicable guidelines.
